Here's the thing:

Cis people really do feel like the gender they were assigned at birth.

Cis women really do feel like women, and cis men really do feel like men. They experience what we would call gender euphoria related to dressing and expressing themselves as their gender, whether that's in a femme way or a butch way or any other way. They feel joy and connection with their gender, with their sexuality and how it relates to their gender. They wear clothes, participate in activities, and express themselves in ways that affirm their gender identity.

Gender critical radfems and terfs will try to convince you that "no woman feels like a woman". They do this for several reasons. Firstly, it's to try to convince trans men they aren't trans, they're just women with no connection to womanhood because "no woman feels a connection to womanhood". They also do it to try to discredit trans women, by saying "If you feel like a woman, then you're clearly not a woman, because "woman" isn't a feeling, it's biology".

A lot of gender critical terfs and radfems claim they are "dysphoric women", and will try to convince you this is a normal state of womanhood. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no, that doesn't sound normal at all, actually. Most women do not secretly wish they could be men, or more androgynous, or have a penis. Most women don't define their lives through suffering - they love being women.

If womanhood - or manhood - is making you miserable... you might be trans, or you might be gender nonconforming. See if dressing a different way makes you feel a spark of joy and happiness - seek euphoria!

Gender should be joyous, not drudgery.

this is important I’m Cis and the feeling of being a woman… it’s a feeling it’s the feeling that your dress fits you perfectly or your hair seems to fall just right or when someone buys you flowers and expresses love for you platonically because you’re women and women loving women is awesome it’s the feeling of being a woman I’ll never know the feeling of being a man but I’m okay with that because I’m a woman nobody has any right to tell you how to feel how to represent yourself you do you rad fem and terf lifestyle is not real feminism

Are people actually trying to look hot for tumblrlive like someone would try for Instagram cause I’m so sorry, unless you’re the onceler or arataka reigen, i don’t know how else you can attract the long lasting tumblr users (appearance wise) to your stream, mate

oversizedsweaters

I genuinely just show up as I am, and it’s been like really encouraging because people don’t totally care… yeah I get less streams sometimes but like putting on makeup just for my camera feels unsustainable

So I joined tumblr in 2012, when it was SuperWhoLock and MEMEofTheDay, let’s not forget ShowerThoughs and the nostalgia 90’s posts. Like tumblr was it’s own little neighborhood, and I know some people don’t love the new Live feature, I’ll be honest it kinda confused me because it’s so different than what tumblr began as-

But I actually discovered that there’s some really awesome people who are supportive, there’s communities that are building and spreading to Live and that’s kinda awesome- it makes Tumblr a little more accessible and that’s always been something that makes tumblr great.

Look, I hate new things and change as much as everyone else who’s been on here for 10 years, I was a hipster tumblr, then a depression tumblr, then a random tumblr, then a mix of all of it- and I actually stream now a little, and I kinda like it- but guys we’re also getting a lot of bullies and people who beg for money on their streams… and I feel like it’s up to us- the tumblr og’s to send the bullies packing- report them, show them that negativity isn’t allowed here-

Tumblr is a safe space, all the citizens of tumblr just want it to be peaceful and enjoyable- we have our own lore and codes- and it’s okay if you’re new and you don’t know all about it… but just don’t be rude about it or the tumblr users that came before you. You know?

Also a lot of people just go to settings and turn off their tumblr live display, and that’s totally fine too.

idk man is it even my place to say this tumblr LIVE Tumblrlive nostalgia old tumblr txt txt post my pop up hashtags are still ‘Alex Gaskarth’ omg nobody will be offended if you turn off your tumblr live feature
